Hey! I have been meaning to update this blog for a while, but each time I sit down to type, it seems someone needs something 🙂 Or there are loads of laundry or dishes in the sink, and I can’t seem to break away. I have lots of updates on all three kiddos, and photos, and videos to share. I will try to sit down again before the end of this week to post them. Today is clearly not the day, as Jude has had 3 big meltdowns, and it is just past 10 am..
Our biggest update, is that Jesse-boy went back to school at Tree of Life after Christmas Break. Last semester I home-schooled him, he and I went to Homeschool Co-op every other week, and he also went to UALC Kindergarten Enrichment 2 afternoons a week. Once we got Jude, we quickly felt that Jesse needed to be back in traditional school (for a handful of reasons.) Although he misses UALC (he had a great teacher and class!) he is really loving Kindergarten at Tree. TOL has been an amazing support to our family.. I could go on and on about this school and staff. So, each morning we drop Ava and Jesse off at 9, then pick Jesse up at noon, then back at 3:30 to get sis. Jude is getting very used to our drive to school. it will be so nice when I won’t have to bundle him up every time we leave 🙂
A friend shared a blog post with me a couple weeks ago from another adoptive mom, and she so eloquently described a little of what our life feels like at times here. I love how she speaks the truth to what it looks like after you come home from the airport- she shares the beauty as well as the reality of life parenting a hurt child.
I thought I would post it below and hope that soon I can find time to post a more thorough update 🙂 Hope you all are well!!
