Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out our site. Our hope is that we can give you a glimpse into our journey here. This is where we can fill you in on our progress and our setbacks (let’s hope the setbacks are few and far between!) A place for adoption updates, along with plenty of random thoughts mixed in along the way. We love that you are here- it’s so awesome to walk through this adventure with family and friends-old and new. Maybe we can even meet some new friends here 🙂

Although we cannot even comprehend how all of the pieces are going to fit together, we are trusting Him. Believing that when He called us to do this, He would provide the way.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think- Ephesians 3:20

Please pray for us- that He would guide our feet each step of the way, and that we would trust Him completely. Pray that God would provide the resources to make this happen. Please pray for our little boy! Pray that God would have His hand on his little life and bring him home safely to us. We don’t know who he is yet, but we can’t wait to meet him!

Ava and Jesse are just “over the moon” about this news. They couldn’t have been any sweeter in their reactions. Ava screamed with joy on and off for a good hour and even said, “This is the greatest surprise of my life!” Jesse had a huge grin and immediately asked, “Can I borrow some money to buy him toys.. I’ll pay you back.” How do you say no to that?

We have just begun the process and are anxiously moving forward as fast as our resources will allow us to.

Here are a few facts:

• We are adopting a boy (1-3 years old)
• We are adopting from the China Waiting Children Program
  • These children have “special needs” such as cleft lip/palate, heart defects, ect..
• We were given the estimate of 12-15 months (and we are at the beginning of our wait)
