Referral Acceptance!

Yesterday will be etched in our minds forever. It was the day that we finally got to officially put a little face to the child we’ve been praying for for almost a year. And it’s a very sweet face, let me tell you 🙂 We are already feeling like proud parents and Ava and Jesse are gushing over their brother.

On Friday we were called with a “potential referral.” We reviewed his file and entered into the formal referral review process. We are required to meet with a physician and speak with our social worker before acceptance.  Thankfully we were able to get an appointment at Children’s Hospital on Tuesday morning and we spoke to our social worker shortly after.  So yesterday afternoon, we officially accepted. We told our kids around 5:30- we framed a picture of their brother for each of them to open and got to see their excitement and surprise. It was a wonderful memory 🙂 I so wish I could post his picture, but I can’t. It is prohibited for lots of reasons, unfortunately.

In the meantime I can tell you that he has a very sweet smile with lots of life in his eyes. He will turn 2 next week. We can’t wait to meet him.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. We have so much to be thankful for 🙂

God has been so faithful to us time and time again.  We are praising Him for giving us this gift! We can’t wait to shower Jude with the love he deserves and can’t believe that we were chosen by God to be his parents. It will still be months before we can go get him and we are hoping that time comes quickly.

We will post more soon! Thanks again for your prayers and support!

Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
    go into his courts with praise.
    Give thanks to him and praise his name.
 For the Lord is good.
    His unfailing love continues forever,
    and his faithfulness continues to each generation.
