Hey! So as a follow-up to my last post, I thought I would link the trailer to a movie that is traveling around theaters in the nation.

The website describes it as “a new award-winning documentary, produced by Both Ends Burning, that uncovers the real-life stories of children and parents navigating through the international adoption system.”

We have many people ask us why the wait is so long, and I honestly never have a good answer for that question.  I do know that our program is one of the quickest- with an estimated time of less than 1 1/2 years to get your child from beginning the process.  This obviously has to do with the fact that the kiddos in our program all have a special need. But healthy child adoptions can take 4+ years. I’ve never understood exactly why this is happening.  It’s so sad.

I couldn’t make it through this trailer without crying, so I’m sure I will need a lot of tissues at the theater. For those of you thinking about adopting or if you are interested in getting involved in orphan care in some way, you may want to check out this movie.
